During the FOSDEM weekend we'll welcome several thousand visitors, requiring a lot of volunteers to make their visit as nice as we can. Are you interested in helping out?

Flyers

Donate to FOSDEM
FOSDEM is an event organized for the community by the community. As such, we think it is important to keep access to the event free.
The event is organized by volunteers who don't get paid and don't have commercial interests in the event. As one might imagine, however, the organization costs a lot of money and other resources.
The main characteristic of FOSDEM is that it is a non-commercial event. To keep it that way, we think the best way to fund the event is to ask for support from the open source community on a voluntary basis.
Donors Return
We're asking you to support the event by making a voluntary donation.
As a return to donors, various prizes will be given by us and our sponsors.
The draw works dynamically: for every multiplication of € 25, your chance to win one of the prizes below will increase (example: for € 100 you have four (4) times more chance to win than for € 25).
Note that you have to donate at least € 25 to participate in the draw.
Here is a list of prizes we gave away during the previous edition
- 2 high-performance Sun Ultra 24 workstations (sponsored by Sun Microsystems)
- 5 FOSS-powered Nokia N810 devices (sponsored by Nokia)
- 20 international Linux Magazine subscriptions (sponsored by Linux Magazine)
- 10 Linux+ Magazine subscriptions (sponsored by Linux+ Magazine)
Other gifts are given for donations depending on the amount of money, to each donor:
- € 25 or more: a FOSDEM T-shirt! (different sizes available)
- € 50 – € 99: a FOSDEM T-shirt + an O'Reilly pocket guide of your choice (*)
- € 100 – € 149: a FOSDEM T-shirt + an O'Reilly book of your choice (*)
- € 150 or more: a FOSDEM T-shirt + an O'Reilly book of your choice (*) + participation in a draw to get five additional O'Reilly books of your choice (2 winners of 5 books)
FOSDEM ASBL/VZW (the non-profit association) was founded in April 2002.
