GStreamer multimedia framework: what’s new?

GStreamer is a highly versatile plugin-based multimedia framework that caters for a whole range of multimedia needs, whether desktop applications, streaming servers or multimedia middleware; embedded systems, desktops or server farms. It is also cross-platform and works on Linux, *BSD, Solaris, OS/X, Windows, iOS and Android.

In September 2012, GStreamer 1.0 was released, the next generation of the rather successful GStreamer 0.10.x API series.

This talk is a high-level overview of what's been happening in the world of GStreamer as of late, with a special focus on the state of GStreamer 1.0, latest developments and upcoming features.
