Alvaro del Castillo San Felix

I am the CTO of Bitergia.com, a company focused in the analysis of Open Source projects using metrics.

Telecomunication Engineer at University Politécnica de Madrid. He has developed his career mainly in the private sector working in several industrial projects such as barrapunto.com, the spanish slashdot, Telefónica I+D, Andago, Lambdaux or Liferay as a community gardener and developer among others. He has been participated in each of those project with several roles such as development, analyst, project manager gaining expertise specifically in open source consultancy and general IT.

Right now he is the CTO of Bitergia.com company focused in open source projects analysis.

He has been involved in R+D projects at the University Rey Juan Carlos, participating in several projects funded by the European Commission. In addition, he has worked in several open source communities such as GNOME, Mono or Debian, with specific development participation in the GNOME project as developer.
