We'll talk about how Virtuozzo Linux create lightweight virtual environments - containers, preloaded with the Linux distribution and a given set of applications. In our approach we use a modified version of the package management tools, i.e yum, dpkg, zypper for creating caches and file system images, which need for the fast deployment and for package management in already deployed environments. In this presentation we will look at the advantages and disadvantages of our approach compared to other solutions - such as templates and Docker Lxc.
