oVirt Metrics and logs - in a unified solution

We think Metrics and logs are not that different. Do you agree?

This was our statement when searching for a unified monitoring solution with real-time analytics,

for the oVirt data center virtualization project.

This talk gives an introduction on how to integrate oVirt metrics with the EFK stack on top of OCP.

Attendees of this session will be able to get an in depth look into the stack architecture and ways to utilize it in open source projects.

Using Elasticsearch and its native visualization layer, kibana, we aspire to provide the oVirt project users a fully functional monitoring solution.

When combining this stack, built on top of OpenShift Container Platform (OCP),

with client side daemons such as collectd and fluentd, we get an end-to-end powerful open source solution.
