Edward Lewis

The speaker description is potentially outdated as it is from a previous FOSDEM edition.

Edward Lewis has made a career out of code development, DNS research and operations, and domain name registration activities. At his age, all he understands is basic text formats and can only handle "ASCII art".

I've been around long enough and participated in many conferences to be careful of what you list in a biography. Started out when it was hard to find a university offering a computer science degree, have spent most of the last quarter century developing and tracking deployment of the DNSSEC technology. Worked in for-profit companies, for non-profit companies, federal government and academia. Being a US resident, in the name of DNS, have crossed the Atlantic Ocean over 100 times, the Pacific Ocean more than 50 times and a handful of times to South America.
