Europe is massively dominated by proprietary software coming from abroad. We know that Open Source can help digital sovereignty and help us take back control. However there are many different ways to do Open Source.

In this talk, without criticizing other methods, we would like to present 5 reasons why having Governments work with Vendors that contribute regularly to Open Source project can be beneficial to the goal of taking back control, followed by 5 ways on how to make it happen in practice.
