Christian Iwainsky
Christian Iwainsky studied Computer Science at Friedrich Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg, earning his Diploma in 2007. During his studies, he completed a half-year internship at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. After graduating, he joined RWTH Aachen University, working in the HPC group of the RWTH compute center and contributing to the Virtual Institute — High Productivity Supercomputing (VI-HPS). He pursued his PhD under Prof. Dr. Christian Bischof, initially in Aachen and later in Darmstadt. In 2016, he received his doctoral degree (Dr. rer. nat.) from Technische Universität Darmstadt. Since then, he has held a permanent position at the TU Darmstadt as an HPC consultant, trainer and researcher, supporting researchers in their HPC activities. His research focuses on performance analysis, HPC, and research software engineering, particularly in source analysis and performance facilitated by compiler frameworks, with an emphasis on the C++ programming language.
