Edgar Leon

Edgar Leon is a computer scientist at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) and a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). He leads Supercomputing research and development to enable high-performance, productivity, and portability of scientific applications in support of the missions of the U.S. Department of Energy. Edgar is the author of mpibind, Quo Vadis, and mpileaks, open-source frameworks to improve user's productivity on HPC systems. Prior to LLNL, Edgar worked at IBM Research and Sandia National Laboratories. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of New Mexico and is an avid contributor to High-Performance Computing.
