Rhea Maesele
Since 2023, Rhea Maesele has been working as a researcher in the Team Monitoring and Restoration of Aquatic Fauna at the Research Institute of Nature and Forrest (INBO), with a specific focus on fishes. She monitors the ecology and distribution of fish species in Flanders, tracks the evolution of fish species and new invasive aquatic species, and analyses the quality and population dynamics of the fish stock in the Scheldt estuary. On top of that, Rhea coördinates a network of volunteers that conduct fish sampling in the Scheldt and its tributaries.
