Open Source initiatives addressing new models for a future internet


SDN & NFV together are technologies intended to ease connectivity and access to content and workloads. This talk with address the need for open/programmable/available access technologies to make this a reality.

Access virtualization is one of the focus areas across the networking industry and provides some of the greatest opportunities to explore new approaches to connectivity and new models for carriers and others providing internet services. This talk with look at ongoing initiatives in this area such as ONOS/CORD, OpenDaylight, OPNFV and present a set of common goals, valuable to our ecosystem, being addressed across these implementations.
