Fabian Ising

Fabian Ising is a postdoctoral researcher at Fraunhofer SIT in Steinfurt. His research interests include applied cryptography, specifically email security, and network and protocol security. He recently finished his PhD about “Corner Cases in Modern Applied Cryptography” at Münster University of Applied Sciences and Ruhr University Bochum and now works in the department ACM (Applied Cryptography and Medical Security) of Fraunhofer SIT.

Besides applied cryptography Fabian has done research in medical security, web security, and forensics.

Fabian lives and works in the city of Steinfurt just half an hour north-west of Münster. Non-work interests include hiking, baking bread, pen and paper, and jigsaw puzzles.
