Patrick Steinhardt
I started diving into Linux in 2002 when I was 11 years old. I was initially just playing around with shiny tools like Compiz, but this has eventually kickstarted my interest in open source software. I made various drive-by contributions to all kinds of different projects since then: GRUB, pacman and NixOS are only a small set of projects I contributed to.
In 2015 though I started to focus my efforts on Git and libgit2 and eventually became core contributor to both of these projects. Nowadays I'm staff engineer and engineering manager of the Git team at GitLab, where I am coordinating our upstream contributions to the Git project.
