Jérôme Poisson (aka Goffi) is a devoted Free Software developer, currently leading the Libervia communication ecosystem project. With over 15 years in the XMPP community, he has made significant contributions to open-source communication technologies. His work on Libervia, an all-in-one, multi-platform XMPP client, underscores his dedication to enhancing digital communication tools.

Jérôme's career has spanned various roles, from software development for set-top boxes to creating FOSS tools for journalists. Recently, he developed an XMPP <=> ActivityPub gateway, fostering unity among open protocols for broader communication possibilities. Supported by a grant from NLnet/Next Generation Internet European commission, he is now focusing on XMPP/Python consulting and freelance development.

Mindful of the social and ecological impacts of technology, Jérôme integrates ethical considerations into his work. In his personal life, he enjoys Franco-Belgian comics, board games, and Belgian beers.

Looking forward, Jérôme aims to expand his consulting work around Libervia, advancing it as a universal, decentralized, and ethically-built communication tool.
